Pole Dance & Fitness

I took my first pole class at thirty-seven, walking into a studio with curiosity and a touch of nerves. After just one session, I was completely obsessed—and, admittedly, covered in bruises. Back then, I couldn’t manage a single pull-up, but over the years, I’ve built both the strength and the skill set I have today. My love for learning keeps me forever a student, and I hope every instructor at Coastal Flow inspires you to develop your abilities and become just a little better each day.

Brand NEW to pole/aerial. Foundational classes that are upright and cover all fundamentals. Great to revisit as a top-up to your foundational skills too!

    Level 1 - Beginner
After a 101 class, we start layering on technique and foundational transitions, climbs and spins

    Level 2 - Intermediate
Will work on dropping down poses, upright combos higher up on the pole, and building up to inverting from the ground in various formats

    Level 3 - Intermediate / Advanced
Can invert from the ground and ready to take inversions up the pole to aerial inverts as well as more difficult tricks and transitions

    Level 4 - Advanced
Comfortable in aerial inverts, learning to ayesha and/or are working in two points of contact comfortably

Mixed Level - (1/2 , 2/3 , 3/4) Classes with mixed content and enable between-level dancers to step up their progression

  • Levels for choreography classes are a little more fluid, indicating the complexity, experience and fitness level/strength of the class.

Students can progress a level up from their normal Crest & Climb class

    Level 1 - Beginner
Fundamental flows, movements and choreography. Class moves a little slower, movements are broken down in depth, and choreography is simple yet elegant

    Level 2 - Intermediate
Stepping up gently into more active choreography, more complex flows and expanding your movement repertoire beyond the basics

    Level 3 - Intermediate / Advanced
Building in more strength, flexibility and aerial dynamic movements. Class moves a little faster as your experience lends you to digest choreography quicker and build longer, more active and fluid routines

  • Level 1/2 - Beginner/ Intermediate
Whether you’ve never done a headstand or you’re comfortably handstanding, this class caters to all levels looking to develop their inversions (headstand, forearm stand, handstand) both on and off the pole. Low flow and fun floor play helps to develop your basework skill and fluidity

Level 2/3 - Intermediate up to Advanced
You can comfortably headstand against the pole and are looking to expand your options in and out of floor inversions and build your dynamic handstand skillset. Great for dancers who want to expand their strength, build muscle and learn unique and fun tricks low to the ground
